About me

As I move toward retirement, I’m not slowing down—I’m starting something new. I’ve chosen to learn piano from scratch, proving to myself that it’s never too late to chase a dream. What began as curiosity has grown into something deeper—a daily practice, a quiet discipline, and a source of real joy.

I sit at the piano not as someone who already knows, but as someone willing to learn. Some days my fingers don’t cooperate, some days progress feels slow—but then there are moments when a phrase flows, a chord resonates just right, and I remember exactly why I started. Those small victories mean everything.

Note by note, day by day, I’m working toward studying jazz at Berklee. Jazz, with its freedom and expression, represents something I’m still learning to understand—not just musically, but personally. It challenges me to listen more closely, to be patient, and to embrace imperfection.

This blog is my journey—honest, imperfect, and ongoing. It’s about practice sessions, frustrations, breakthroughs, and the quiet satisfaction of showing up again and again. More than anything, it’s driven by the belief that beginnings don’t have an age—and that it’s never too late to become something new.
